About Us

I have always enjoyed working with wool. Firstly, at art school where I specialised in textile design and weaving, then in the eighties when I designed and marketed my own range of needlepoint kits which sold in prestigious outlets such as Harrods and Liberty. When looking for a rug for my home, I was unable to find what I was looking for, so the logical step was for me to create my own!
Nepal is where I discovered my skilled and dedicated weavers, who produce the finest rugs available. Every stage in the process is done by hand. The wool is brought from the plains of Tibet to the border of Nepal, from where it is transported to the weaving shop. The art of rug making was brought to Nepal by exiled Tibetans, who, like the Nepalis, are kind, spiritual people and a joy to work with.
After living in Venice for eight years, I have now returned to live and work in my native Scotland.
